How much do you charge for cleaning services?
General: We charge $50 per hour, per cleaner.
Short Term Rental (AirBnB/VRBO): We average the time it takes to clean your house and set that amount as the cleaning fee on your listing.
Residential: We decide on a flat rate based on your needs after an initial cleaning.
Post Construction/Remodel: You can ballpark the cost at roughly $1.50 per square foot with window cleaning included or $1/sqft without window cleaning included. But ultimately we’ll be charging by the hour so the more debris removal by the crews, the less the final detail cleaning will be.
MoveIn/Out: You can ballpark $0.50/sqft for empty house cleaning with no window cleaning included or $0.75 with windows included.
Note: Ultimately we charge by the hour so the final bill will depend on how dirty your house is.
All Post Construction and Move In/Out cleaning includes top to bottom cleaning of all surfaces including, but not limited to, ceiling fans, windows (if requested), interior/exterior of cabinets and drawers (hardware included), baseboards, shelf units, closets, etc.
What services do you offer for short-term rental cleaning?
We specialize in cleaning short-term rental properties listed on platforms like Airbnb. Our services include:
- Full cleaning between guest stays (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, etc.)
- Linen changes (fresh bed sheets, towels, etc.)
- Bathroom sanitization
- Kitchen cleaning (appliance wipe-downs, countertops, sink sanitization)
- Trash removal
- Restocking of amenities (toilet paper, soap, etc.)
- Light touch-ups based on guest feedback or special requests
Do you offer same-day cleaning services?
Yes and no. That is to say, we generally have a “no flip” policy, (flip meaning one party leaving and another party arriving on the same day) but, if we are indeed able to do a flip, we most certainly will. With so many houses that we take care of in the area, we need to implement a prep day block at the end of each reservation in order to minimize the possibility of more than a couple of flips occurring in one day. The prep day ensures that no one can book to arrive the same day another group is leaving. If, however, a potential guest asks to arrive on the same day another group is leaving, and we are able to accommodate that, we absolutely will.
How do I schedule a cleaning for my Airbnb?
If you decide to use our services, we require that you invite Naren Schoenacher, the owner of Man Maid, as a co-host to your AirBnB calendar and that you provide your login information for VRBO as well. The calendars are then checked everyday to ensure that we keep up with all the bookings, cancellations and re-bookings. The bottom line is that, if you go with us, you never have to worry about missing a cleaning or keeping up with the reservations yourself, as we take care of that for you.
Do you handle guest correspondence as well?
No, we do not. We are simply a cleaning service, not a property management service. Having said that, we do take note of any damage and/or general disrespect of your property by guests and report that to you, the owner. So, if you go with us, you still get most of the benefits of a property manager, but without the guest communication. That we leave up to the owner.
Do you charge extra for cleaning supplies or linens?
Our cleaning fee includes all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment to get each cleaning done between guests. We do not, however, provide amenities for the guests to use during their stay such as paper products, soaps, etc. We also don’t provide linens. We ask that you have at least two sets of sheets for each bed and plenty of towels on hand because we generally do laundry off site at our office so our employees can focus solely on cleaning while they are at your house. Having said that, we do replenish guest amenities when they are running low and replace any linens that are stained or otherwise damaged beyond repair. These items are added to the invoice at the end of each month for our reimbursement.
Can I book a cleaning service for multiple properties?
Absolutely! We offer cleaning services for multiple properties. Whether you have one or several short-term rentals, we can handle your needs on a recurring basis.
How do you ensure the quality of your cleaning?
Our cleaning staff are thoroughly trained and follow a detailed checklist for each property to ensure nothing is overlooked. We are committed to maintaining high standards and ensuring your guests have a clean, comfortable space. We strive for, and achieve, a five star rating from guests 99% of the time.
Can I request additional services, like deep cleaning or laundry?
Yes! We offer deep cleaning services and laundry services. We typically do deep cleans in the winter during the slow months so that everything is fresh and super clean at the beginning of each season.
What happens if something is damaged during the cleaning process?
Our team takes great care while cleaning your property. In the rare case that something is damaged, we will notify you immediately and discuss appropriate steps for reimbursement or replacement. We are fully insured for any accidental damage during our cleaning services.
How do I pay for the cleaning services?
Owners are billed once a month for services performed during the previous month via a Quickbooks invoice sent to their email from which they can pay with credit/debit card or bank transfer.
How do I ensure the cleaning service is completed before my next guest arrives?
If you use Man Maid Cleaning Service, you will never again have to worry about whether or not your short term rental will be cleaned between guests. Since we will have access to your calendars and we check them every day, we never miss a cleaning.
